There is no Grow in Love homework for tonight.
The next PIP workshop will be coming up in March. Letters have gone home today. Please return slips as soon as possible. This workshop will focus on Maths teaching and learning.
Finally, a reminder that we are looking to collect yoghurt cartons for use in planting. We need cartons that are a decent size for sowing plants. Thank you!
We read a great story all about a rabbit who manages to save a little bit of winter for his friend the hedgehog.
We did a lovely job drawing our favourite parts!
We have a new dramatic play centre for Aistear – the hibernation shop!
Children will take on the roles of shopkeeper, customer, manager and run their shop!
Next week we will move on to the /sh/ blend and we will be revising 2D shapes in Maths. We will also be doing more activities based on the theme of Autumn 🍂
All for now!
We have tiny pumpkins beginning to appear on our plants! Will keep a close eye on them over the coming weeks. 🎃
Our pumpkins have been coming on well over the summer months. I’ve seen lots of flowers but no sign of fruit yet. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
On the other hand, there was a brilliant surprise waiting in our school garden:
A full sized pumpkin! I’m still hopeful for our crop but it’s great to see our award winning school garden flourishing.
