Our sand pit has been completely refurbished – a big thank you to all who helped especially to Joe!
Today we took a brain break and had some extra play time in the sand.
From next week, our PE days will be Wednesday and Thursday. Please make sure your child wears their tracksuit on these days only.
An important note – Do not send your child to school wearing runners with laces if they are unable to tie them themselves. This is not safe. Instead, they can wear runners with velcro straps or you can show them how to tie their laces at home.
This week is Active Schools Week in our school. Everyday we have a different active activity. Today was a hip hop class – Sly came in to teach us some moves and the boys and girls had a ball!
*You may notice my poor editing skills – we shared a dance slot with children from another class and as I do not have permission to use their photos I have edited them out.
All for now!
We had a beautiful day on Monday for sports day. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day – standing at finish lines, refereeing penalty shoot outs and ferrying drinks back and forth. Take a look at the photos below:
Since dancing has finished we have our normal hall slot back. We have been learning hockey and the boys and girls have been doing great work. So far we have worked on gripping the stick, controlling a variety of objects with the stick, taking shots and passing. Take a look at some of the photos!
Today there was nerves and excitement as we had our dancing competition with Claire Dowling. The children all danced their two hand reel in front of the judge and I was so proud of everyone! This marks the end of Irish dancing for this year – thank you to Claire for her expertise!
All for now.
